Not 15 amps only 10 amps

This Part is no longer Rated to 15amps, it is only rated to 10amps, Caution it will burn out Prematurely. Canadian Tire Buyers have screwed up when they Changed supplier to Superior Pumps Brand. Even though the Description online states 15 amps, Package states “120Volt - Max Pump running Current: 10 amps. Also confirmed with Superior Pumps Customer service that this is the Switch which Canadian Tire Has decided to purchase. Someone SCREWED UP!!

Stiff as solid core wire when cold

Garbage quality. The wire is too stiff in cold climate sump water and the wire tension prevents it from pointing straight up, causing it to not activate even when completely submerged. Result: flooded basement. Find one with a softer wire.

A: Switch Can only operate Pumps with lower Amperage ratings then 10 Amps. constant Load and 60 Amp Surge Load. Does not matter the Horsepower Rating of the pump. The switch which is being supplied can no longer handle 15 amp Load

Q: Can I use this in deep well drinking or potable water tank?

A: Yes, it can be use in potable water tank but clean it well using dishwashing detergent prior to drop it in water. This model turns the pump on when the float is up and turns off when the float is down.
