Great replacement for 30 yr old original

My sewage check valve (Jackel brand) failed after 30 years, but unfortunately the brand is difficult to find locally on the weekend. After reviewing multiple products, this was definitely the best choice that was readily available. It is solid, and well made. It was a little challenging to install, only because the rubber extensions are much stiffer and of higher quality than my original check valve. I had only 2 concerns: - the installation instructions were extremely poor. It's not rocket science to install, but still nice to validate what you'll do - for whatever reason there were no labels or print of any nature on the body of value - and more importantly no direction flow arrow (the flap needs to push up from the pump, and drop back down when flow stops ... simple enough) Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

won't hold water

The check valve doesn't hold water. I run the pump and after it stops I can hear the water dripping back down in the sump
