Supercycle Girls' 3-Wheel Scooter

I just finished drying the tears of my 4-year-old on this her birthday morning. All she wanted was a pink scooter. I purchased a Supercycle 3 Wheel Scooter at Canadian Tire yesterday, in a box clearly depicting a pink and purple scooter. I bought a helmet and pads in pink to match. When I went to assemble it last night I discovered a very red and purple scooter in the box. I went back to the store first thing this morning in hopes of getting one that actually was pink, before my daughter woke up. Every one of the scooters in all the boxes clearly depicting pink scooters were red. All the ones at the other stores I called has red scooters in their boxes. This color difference may seem insignificant, but to a 4-year-old it is the difference between happy and sad. My guess is that Supercycle changed the color of the paint this year, but had a bunch of boxes from last year that they didn't feel like scrapping. That or they just don't care whether you put things in the right box. This is just the beginning of my child's scootering and bicycling days. In future Supercycle will be a brand I will avoid.

Be warned that despite the name and description, this is not a disney princess product, there are no princess or other disney graphics of any kind. (yes the SKU is correct). There are no lights on the footboard. There is no front basket, bell, or water bottle. It is simply a purple and pink scooter with tassles. I bought it for my daughter, who is a big cinderella fan. I will now buy a pack of princess stickers at the dollar store, and a princess basket at toys r us.
