Cheap u- lock

Average steel u-lock nothing special does the job but is only a low security model, this was bought for rural use but for urban use it’s to flimsy. My locks in Toronto start at 100$ not 20$ to provide an example.

I bought this bike lock to replace the same lock that I had before, which had lasted for almost five years before it got corroded on the inside and stopped working. This one is just as good so far; the key goes in easily and turns smoothly. I'm happy with it. :)

Q: I can no longer open the lock with the key it won’t go in all the way or turn at all and my bike is locked to my balcony. How do I cut it off? What tool would work?

  • A: I believe you can but you have to have the key number that came with the keys it was a small silver plate it has your key identification number on it.

Q: How do you install the u-lock holder on the bike. There are two rings. I can't tell which one goes on the bike, and which one on the lock. Also, theres a small hinge/latch kind of thing on one of the rings. im totally lost! Supercycle 9 inch U-lock

  • A: I am not sure what you mean the lock comes with it put together already all you need to do is release the lock from the hanger and place the hanger on the bike. In the pictures I posted you will see which parts go where I hope it helps.

Q: How thick is the U lock shackle? Not the lock body itself, just the shackle. For example, the Kyryptonite lock listed here has a 14mm thick shackle.
