good light but cheap junk

Does not stay on its mount very well and easily breaks. Mine provided good light that I was happy with but a small bump when I was leaning the bike against a wall and the mount broke, the light fell on the concrete and then I could not get the light to work. Save your money or be prepared to figure out a permanent way to mount the light.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Does its job (kind of)

I found the reviews on here to be pretty accurate. The light is very simple, cheap and does its job. However, the material isn't great (you get what you pay for) and it will almost definitely break if you drop it. The problem I've found is that it does not hold firmly in place on the mount. I've had it for only a few days and I've found I need to glue it on or zip-tie it on if I want it not to fall off while I ride. I plan to use a glue gun to permanently set it onto the mount. I would recommend it for someone looking for an inexpensive light to use occasionally, who is open to using something like glue to permanently set it should it be loose like mine is.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Q: How to get to the bulbs? This light fell off my bike. Now it doesn't work. All the parts I can see work ok, but just can't access the area of the actual bulbs to check if something is off/broken there.

  • A: This is going to always happen to this light. I'm now on my third - and last - of this type. Twist the head off (taht is very satisfying!) The paper towel trick does work though eventually it will become compressed and you need to renew it. Alterantively, or with the paper towel, you can very carefully pry up the contacts on the battery holder with a small screwdriver or knife blade. Carefully, because if you go to hard or too fast you can pop the contact out or even break it off. If it comes out, you can usually get it back in again but you will have wasted a lot of time.
