We needed replacement clothesline for the umbrella-style outdoor clothes dryer we have in our backyard. 200' was more than enough to repair the dryer. We have plenty left over.

Purchased to redo a standard umbrella clothesline. They really need to make the length about 230' , otherwise you're buying two rolls.

Q: Is the Strata Outdoor line suitable for restringing an umbrella clothes dryer? If not what do you recommend. We have purchased line a t CTire before, just not sure of brand.

A: Yes it is suitable for your umbrella dryer. The line has a metal core for added strength far better than the OEM line. We had to purchase two because our umbrella has 32 lines, 8 feet long (256ft).

A: The weight capacity will depend of the use. This is not a clothesline, but a replacement line for outdoor dryers. So it will be really strong when used with an outdoor dryer.

Q: What diameter is the steel wire rope? I am looking to run a loop that spans almost 100 feet; I need to know the weight rating.

A: The product in question is not strong enough to use for clothesline. It is only a replacement cable for outdoor dryers. We do not recommend to use it for a 100 feet line. Instead, you should take a clothesline cable.
