Torque wrench has seen very little use and has been very well kept but now no longer clicks when the desired torque is reached.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor quality metal

Poor quality product for the cost. Bought this over a year ago and seldom used until I recently started using it to torque my lugnuts on my car, set it to 90lbs and it failed, metal snapped off. Cheaply made, considering how much they cost in the store! I bought Dewalt because every other tool I have is Dewalt and they seldom let me down, this thing is junk.

Q: Why is this torque wrench labeled "Not for installing lugnuts to the wheels of automobiles"?

  • A: A smaller impact WRENCH (3/8" square drive or smaller 1/2" square drive model) may not have the torque or power necessary to remove lug nuts from a vehicle. This is especially true if the lug nuts (or bolts) were installed with a pneumatic impact wrench, or are seized on. It may take several hundred foot pounds of force to break these loose- more than a impact driver or small impact wrench can provide.

Q: Why this wrench cannot be used to torque wheel nut, my car specs is 95 ft-lb and it is in the range of this torque wrench but when I bought it I found on instructions not to be used for wheel nut which is disappointing
