Good Quality for the Price

The product was good but it was too big for where I wanted it. The really bad part was that some numbskull decided to put a loose lid on top of the pails on an upper shelf so when I lifted the cans from the shelf, the loose lid fell off and hit me in the head. I still have a bruise. And, no, I didn’t go to management, but I likely should have.

Q: Is this airtight? Does it have a gasket to seal air in or does it just have the latches? I’d like to use it for dog food and just want to make sure it keeps it fresh.

  • A: Hi Dalo, the Sterilite Utility Can was not designed to be airtight and does not have a gasketed seal. The lid is held securely down with the latches on both sides.
