Disappointed. The lid cracked on the first day and that’s just from removing the lid from the actual bin.

Q: If kept in the cold (outdoor shed/garage), will the plastic crack?

A: Hi Lindsay! Our products are made out of polypropylene and polyethylene and can withstand temperatures of as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture. With repeat or prolonged exposure to these extremes will negatively impact the performance and longevity of the items. We hope this information helps!

A: Thanks for your question. Our storage products are made of polypropylene and can withstand temperatures of between approximately 180 degrees Fahrenheit and 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture. Perhaps this will help you determine if the tote can be stored in a shed in Alberta.
