    I am not happy with the product. I use them on conventional glass cooktop and they don’t work as expected. I boil milk in the large saucepan and a thick layer of milk sticks to the bottom and side of it. While cooking something in the frying pans, they take way longer time to cook than my older utensils; looks like the new pans don’t completely touch the heating area.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Q: the answer to the last question was that the Heritage the Rock 50th Anniversary edition has a coating called Whitford's non-stick coating, but that is not a full answer so what the full name of the Whitford's ...Xylan or Eclipse or Excaliber or Eterna or Quan Tanium...as you can see there are a lot of different versions of Whitford's brand so please be more precise and answer the question ... Doug

    • A: Starfrit has worked with Whitford to develop an exclusive formula that is fully compatible only with the Rock Tec surface. The brands mentioned do not pertain to this product line.

    • A: The The Rock 50th anniversary frypan is oven safe up to 450 °F / 230 °C. Always use gloves or oven mitts when using as the handle may become hot. The non-stick surface of The Rock 50th anniversary frypan is made with two layers of Whitford’s non-stick coating. The reinforced non-stick surface keeps food from sticking, and is 10 times more resistant to abrasion. For your information, Teflon is not a component of the coating, but a brand of coating and it is not this coating that is use on The Rock cookware collection.
