Stanley 199 - an absolute classic!

The Stanley 199 is a classic American knife. The shape, the design and the feel in the hand is absolutely timeless. I own several of these knives and have always been more than satisfied with the performance.

Best utility knife period!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best knife I've ever owned! I've owned many knives from many manufacturers and this blade is by far superior to the rest. In my 20 years doing residential electrical wiring this one has always been my go to for stripping cables. Nothing more satisfying than knowing you have a blade that will stay in place with very little flex when paired with top notch Stanley blade.

Built for the long haul and precise to boot

It's sometimes the simplest tools of the trade that get overlooked, and this is the best economic bang for the buck I have owned ever regarding utility knives. Cuts materials precisely, and smooth as butter. Compared it to the other 5 brands of utility knives I keep around, and honestly there is no comparison.. the classic 99 truly beats every other one hands down. I think I will be purchasing the retractable version of this now.. excellent job stanley! Well done guys..

Best Insulation Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a insulator by trade and I prefer this over any knife for kraft, foil faced or I faced batt insulation. Change the blade once a day and your good for 12 hours of fiberglass shredding!
