The Best Hand Riviter that I have used.

A Hand Pop Rivet Tool is not something I use every day of the week. Used to when I was younger, but when you need a job done well and fast its the way to go. I usually use Stainless Steel heavy duty rivits and the tool has to be strong to handle them. This Stanley does the job. I have had many other hand riveters and pnumatic ones. but this is quick portable and if Im only doing a simple job like patching the side of a Chevy Van with 100 rivets this will do it.

Would NOT recommend

On the 3rd rivet it jammed and I had to disassemble the tool while still attached to the car!! Upon examination I found that the internals were damaged. VERY disappointed!!!! It is now trash!!!!

Big disappointment

Same as the other reviews I’ve done maybe 20 rivets and then one jammed in there and when I took it apart I found one of the gripping jaws broke in half. Tried searching the Internet for parts and it brought me here. Was going to send it back for warranty but after reading this I’ll just buy a better one.

Would not eject Mandrel!

Installed one 3/16" aluminum rivet perfectly with just 1 full squeeze but the mandrel would not eject. After trying multiple times to eject and yanking with a vise grips the mandrel broke off. Returned it. Sadly, this tarnishes Stanley's reputation.

Good for 200 rivets only

Bought on the basis of brand reputation - I should have read the reviews ! Worked very well for first two packets of rivets, then wouldn't eject spent mandrels. Worse still, it then snapped off top of several mandrels, which necessitated grinding off unset rivets. Upon disassembly I found a small piece of metal loose inside the nose piece and barrel - it's either a chip from the jaws or a lump of mandrel. Can't find spare jaws on the web.
