Great High-Quality Tools

I bought this set before Christmas, was on sale. Saved over $300.00! The tools are very high-quality and all are covered by a lifetime warranty. I have used the sockets and wrenches extensively and have been quite pleased. The finish is grippy and therefore wrenches don't slip from my fingers so easily. Sockets and wrenched are all etched with the sizes quite visibly so I don't need to run for my reading glasses. 3 different sizes of socket wrenches in one kit is very handy and I really love that the crescent/box end wrenches come in 3 different sizes as well. I'll get years of use from this handy set - highly recommended!

Yes, I recommend this product.

No 1/2" drive extension :o(

Darn good piece of kit for the backyard mechanic, but the obvious missing part is the 1/2" socket extension. There's a 1/4" and 3/8" but no 1/2".....shame 'cos it's got pretty much everything I'll need, and got this on sale!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Saved money/wasted time

I bought this set when it was on sale at Christmas. Since them 5 sockets have broken. The first one being the middle of January. Luckily I had a mastercraft set as well and it took it off no problem. I have contacted Stanley and they have said my items will be here in 4-6 weeks. I still have no received anything from them. Also, make sure you have there Canada Warranty number on speed dial because it is a pain in the buttocks to track down everytime you need to replace something.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: are the sockets 6pt or 12pt

  • A: 6 Point are the Best! & NOT just for the occasional Mechanic! They won't "slip" and strip your bolt heads as easy as the 12 points will. They will not fit as many "types" of bolt heads as the 12 points will however...so they each have their own benefits. But for applying brute force on a nasty stubborn Bolt Head or Nut,..these are what you want. That's my 2 cents anyhow... :o)
