Great safe by very heavy when placing it in the basement. The door and shelves are removable to lighten the weight when moving. I've had this one for 3 years now and have never had any issues with it and I'm still using the same battery in it. Very easy to set the combination as the instructions are very straight forward. If we move houses, I'm going to hire someone to move it up the stairs.

Good for the money

Had it for about 2 weeks now, no problems, hard to believe it could ever be taken full and bolted down as it is almost impossible to slide on carpet by yourself. Saw other site saying finishing inside isn't very good, but unless you lay on floor and look up at shelves there is not much wrong with interior. Easy to set code, works flawlessly so far, can't find much wrong with it.

overall a good safe for under a $1000

Don't look at my nickname that was for a pressure washer and i can't change it now. The safe is good safe. I got it for $800, so wait to it goes on sale. Not worth 1500. Door comes off to help you move it. Does not show it but also come with 4 short legs about 12 cm high but can be remove. I did not think that i needed a safe this big but get a safe bigger then you think.

Q: is it legal to store amunition with guns in locker would like to know if it is legal to store amunition in locker with guns or if you still need to store amo elsewhere

A: It is legal to store ammo in a gun safe with either restricted or non-restricted firearms. It is legal if you wish to leave a loaded magazine in the gun safe as long as it is not inserted in the firearm. It is not a good idea to leave a fully loaded magazine for a long period of time as the spring may weaken which could cause the weapon to misfire.

Q: How do you handle delivery? Being such a large and heavy item, how does the local store handle delivery of the product? If it is in-store pickup, do they provide a forklift or pump-trunk to get it out to the vehicle or pickup from rear shipping door?

Q: Why does this safe only have a 5 year warranty but most other stack-on's have a lifetime warranty? Almost all the other safes at this price point carry a lifetime warranty, while this safe only has a 5 year one. Is there a specific reason for this?

A: This is a discontinued model. This rating was provided by Stack On (at the time) and they just recently rolled out their lifetime warranty. It is offered on “most” of their safes now except their Steel Security Safes.
