The LINK-S-DARK is the perfect camera for far-flung areas. It can be operated with batteries, a rechargeable battery (LIT-09) or a 12V battery. For this purpose, the camera has a 4000 mAh built-in battery that can be recharged via the permanently installed solar panel.Add to that a 0.07 second shutter speed and a multi-shot mode with up to 6 frames per capture.

Bought 2, both had issues. One wouldnt connect, other one deal leaked and got electronics wet.

I was looking for a self maintaining trail camera that would send pictures to my phone. This camera, while pricey, ticks all the boxes. Something that isn’t clear on the box is that the camera has a built in lithium battery. I didn’t find out how big but it is separate from the optional LIT-09 battery. You can also use 8 AA batteries. The solar charger will charge the internal battery first. I haven’t put it out yet as it is still charging and I just bought it today, but my other SPYPOINT Link Micro S has been decent. This camera also has time lapse which I wanted because my Wildgame Innovations one does and reviewing the camera I saw several turkeys that were out of range to trip the sensor. The timelapse feature only goes down to once every 3 minutes and I was hoping for once a minute. This camera will take a pic and then record up to 90 seconds of video as well. I did have to try out the SPYPOINT support for one of my other cameras and they were great to deal with and shipped me a new camera without a lot of back and forth. I am very happy with SPYPOINT and will be putting a few of these out presuming the pictures and videos are as good as the link micro.

A: Hello Scott, the Link-Micro-S-Dark comes with a pre-activated SIM card that will connect to the nearest cellular tower in the area where you want to use the unit. -KM
