Q: What is the red coating on the screws? It seems this can contiminate the brake fluid if it "spreads" beyond the threads into the caliper cavity.
3 years agoA: No, this red product appears to be an anti-ceazing compound. These types of bleed screws are notorious for ceasing in the calipers over a period of time. The very end angle is the sealing face , brake fluid only comes up and out the bleed screw, water moisture is the brakes enemy. Changing brake fluid is another forgotten fluid by everyone. Don't be concerned about the red on the thread. I hope this helps you understand the function of the product on the screws. 10/25/2022

Q: Will these Bleed Screws fit caliper part # 18-4298?
8 years agoA: The caliper in question has a M10 x 1.5 bleeder port, which requires the 024-5627 Dorman bleeder screws. 024-5671 also contains 2 bleeder screws that will fit the caliper.
