Works well. Was actually light blue in colour, but I didn’t care about that. Wish it had come with a lanyard, but I used one I already had and attached it so I could make sure I didn’t lose it when I was in the water.

Accurate, Durable, and Essential – South Bend Crab Caliper is a Must-Have!

I picked up the South Bend Crab Caliper this season and I’m thoroughly impressed. It’s simple, sturdy, and does exactly what it needs to do—measure crabs quickly and accurately so you stay legal and ethical out on the water. The markings are clear and easy to read, with multiple common size limits included, which saves a ton of time when you’re sorting your catch. The build quality is great for the price: lightweight but tough enough to throw in the tackle box or clip to your belt without worrying about breaking it. I’ve used it on both Dungeness and rock crab, and it’s proven reliable every time. It’s also easy to rinse off and keep clean, even after a day in saltwater and sand. If you’re serious about crabbing—or even just want to avoid a ticket—this caliper is a must-have tool. Affordable, dependable, and makes following the rules effortless. 5 stars all the way!

they had the red ones which are useless in bc. the max length is 6 1/4. The min length in BC is 6.5 inches. Maybe if you plan to go to Washington and use this, otherwise dont waste your money.
