Not so good.

Well it worked but not well. Needed a strong pull and the hoses tended to slip off from where they were “attached”, squirting oil randomly. Switched to my engine mounted pump with more success. Think twice.

Very Poorly Made Pump

I bought this hand pump to clear the water out of my kitchen sink drain prior to filling the drain with Draino. After five pump strokes the unit failed. I took it apart and found the plastic internal check valve had broken. I was surprised Canadian Tire would carry something so cheap.

Very efficient pump

I don't usually review products, but I was so impressed with this pump I had to let you know. I bought this pump to do an oil change on my 5.7L I/O in my boat. I had 5 L of old oil removed in a couple minutes! A few things to remember, get the engine up to operating temperature, hot oil pumps much easier. (you may want to wear a glove on the hand holding the pump) , The small tube fits snugly (and seals) in the dipstick hole, the tube doesn't need to go to the bottom of the tube. As you're pumping, hold the pump so the tubes are straight into the pump, to keep a good seal.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not useful for a SeaDoo

The pump is fairly straightforward and easy to use. My only problem was that the hose it's equipped with is too big to fit into the dipstick area of a seadoo to drain off the oil for a standard oil change.

No, I do not recommend this product.

1 Answer
  • A: • How much liquid is sucked up on a full stroke of the pump? • There is no base rating for the amount of fluid due to the many variables that effect the viscosity of used oil. • Will it work on 80 gear oil? Yes, it should work fine. For additional information please visit your local store.
