Terrible

Received this as a gift. It was difficult to setup and then continued to loss connection to the remote sensor unit. Going to take it back right away and hopefully find one that works.

Q: How are all units powered? Is electricity to all components (thermometer and display) supplied by solar power stored in batteries? What kind of batteries?

A: In addition: The Receiver ( display), is powered by Alkaline batteries and can also be powered by the batteries that are provided with the unit. These batteries are rechargeable alkaline batteries that get continuously recharged by the solar panel on the receiver. The user has the choice between using standard alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries. There is switch inside the batter compartment and user has to select What type of battery that is being used? The Outdoor transmitter is a self powered enclosed unit that can not be manipulated. The batteries will continue to recharge due to the solar panel on the transmitter.

L'émetteur extérieur a des batteries qui peuvent pas être remplacé mais devrait durer toute une vie car ils sont rechargé continuellement avec les panneaux solaires.
