Wrong remote

We love the fireplace. It’s exactly what we wanted and fits the space perfectly. The only problem is that the remote that came with it is the wrong one. We cannot access the backlight function because our remote does not have that button. I have no idea where to find one but we would love to have it. We purchased the fireplace specifically for that function.

Horrible item.

Bought this fireplace installed it. Tried it out. Blew up on me. Did not last two days. Canadian Tire discontinued item, I hope they know it is not safe and not well built.

A: Oui... nous en avons déjà eu un et avons fait le test en vérifiant le compteur électrique quand il fonctionne et quand il ne fonctionne pas... la roulette du compteur d'Hydro tourne très vite. Nous en avons racheté un autre mais mural cette fois-ci, mais nous ne le mettons jamais sur la chaleur... nous gardons juste les effets de flammes!

Q: Could I get a small jar of paint to repair a scratch? The metal braces on the back of the glass front scraped a 10 inch scratch on the front of the fireplace. I am concerned that the paint needs to be heat resistant. Could you please help me? Thanks

A: You should be fine with any paint, as long as the heat source is not directly blowing hot air on the damaged area. The front glass panel is simply for aesthetics and has no real function.
