The SOG Tomahawk Axe Knife is a powerful, versatile and functional tool for various tasks. This axe features a 2" blade made of stainless steel for durability. The axe is lightweight and easy to handle with a fiberglass/nylon handle for a secure grip. Got it as a throwing tomahawk, works great. Minor jiggle between the blade and the shaft, maybe from deformation at the connection, but still very strong.

Small Tomahawk and balanced weight for throwing. I was surprised how light it was. Excellent for personal defense and it can easily be carried under a coat.

its more a weapon than a tool

the fasthawk is okay. but its not heavy enough to split. the spike is good for digging and it will chop green wood but it cant split dry wood. if i were the designer i would not have the holes in the blade. without them it would be a bit more end heavy and be able to split. since its not heavy enough it cant replace a regular hachet. If you're a camper this will not do the job. because of this i give it 3. if theres a remake that doesn't have the holes i will totally buy it.

Q: Do you have to be a certain age to buy this? My son is 14, i trust him with axes. hes been to austria and actually knows how to throw one. if i sent him up with some money, could he buy this on his own?

A: like a air rifle Its not, ''illegal'' but its against their, ''policy'' to sell to someone under 18. this is to make sure they don't sell to someone irisponsible and end up liable. but its not against the law.
