Best gadget in my kitchen!

I love this unit for my instant sparkling water. I was buying huge amounts of bottled sparkling water and was spending a fortune. This nifty little gadget lets me make my soda water as I want it, so no half drunk bottles going flat in the fridge. So sad to read that it is discontinued, as I had wanted to purchase for family for Christmas presents this year.

We received this unit for a Christmas gift, I would never would have thought of purchasing this on my own. Now that I have one - I can't imagine not having one - we use it almost every day! I have never been one for drinking water, however now that I have a soda stream, I am drinking 1-2 litres if water a day. Being able to add my own sugar free flavoring (we buy the Kool-Aid drops) is terrific too! We love it so much - we are going to put 1 in our trailer and take it travelling with us. It uses no hydro, and the CO2 canisters last quite a while - over 2 months for 1 canister used almost every day. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who is not fussy on drinking water but loves to drink soda - plain or flavored. A GREAT product!!!

Given how much I was spending on Perrier, this machine is going to pay for itself in about a week. Really simple, easy to use, and ready to drink right away if you keep a jug of water in the fridge ready to carbonate. Love that you can control the amount of fizz, too. Great value.

I like that I can make my own soda at home and control the amount of fizziness and flavour. There are also a lot of flavour options too compared to buying store bought drinks

A: When carbonating water in a SodaStream machine, you must use the specialized SodaStream carbonating bottles. These carbonating bottles are made to screw in to the machine and are made from reinforced plastic needed to withstand the pressure of the CO2. SodaStream carbonating bottles also have a hermetic seal in the cap, which holds the carbonation for up to 2 weeks! Thank you for your question and Set the Bubbles Free!

Q: Do you get a cap for the bottle? I recently purchased a SodaStream and I'm very happy with it, but I was wondering if you are suppose to receive a cap for the bottle that comes with the kit, and if you are, is it possible to get one somehow?

Q: Approximately how many litres will one CO2 last me?

A: As you can control the amount of carbonation, i.e. one loud burst gives you minimal carbonation, 3 make the drink very very fizzy, it would depend. However, I can usually get 30 bottles (that came with the starter kit) with one canister.

Q: Can I carbonate anything but water? For example, I like Ocean Spray Lemonade/Cranberry juice but would love it, if it was carbonated. Will this machine do it?

A: I have tried lemon water and white wine, however, I notice, that with anything acidic, it overflows when it is carbonated. Something chemical going on with the acid and CO2, I would say, but, if you don't mind a little spillage, it will work.

A: Thank you for your interest in SodaStream. When returning a machine under warranty, you do not need to return the CO2 or Carbonating bottle - only the machine. For warranty exchanges, you must provide the proof of purchase and an image of the machine's serial number.

A: The bottles from the Sodastream Play machine will not fit on the Jet, the Jet is not as tall as the Play, so the bottles from the Play will be too tall Jet bottles will however for on the Play

A: The CO2 cylinders are not refilled, but if you bring your empty one back to Canadian Tire, they have an exchange cylinder for a reduced price.
