    Best purchase ever-saves me thousands

I purchased this with Skepticism and installed on my F150. I needed a plow for my 20 car office parking lot. Cost to have a contractor look after the snow plowing only (no salt) was $650/mo on a 5 month contract. This plow is fantastic. Totally exceeds my expectations. Works on all snow types. If the snow is packed or built up...just throw a tie down strap on and it scrapes clean. Very easy on your truck. It is very light and the rubber blade prevents jarring of your truck. The best part is I can remove or install when I need it in less than a minute. I am not stuck with a big heavy blade on my truck all winter. Everyone asks about this plow when they see it. Great product, because there is no hydraulics, nothing to maintain, nothing can go wrong with it. Pretty much indestructible. Buy one...you can't go wrong!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Good for fluffy snow, useless for all else.

I live on a gravel road, with a gravel driveway. This plow is fundamentally flawed. It is designed to "float" over snow it cannot push. So, unless you're on smooth pavement, and you're pushing light fluffy stuff, you're screwed. After half a winter, my driveway is now a packed down mess. The blade bounces radically over anything rough. Gravel, dirt, or hard snow. Other than slick install design, its a waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Best Purchase Ever

I'm using this plow on a Jeep Liberty and it work Wonderfully! I'm actually using it commercially to plow my Store parking lot. This year we are getting hit harder then usual in Northern Ontario with snow. I have had other plows in the past always had problems with hydraulics, Winches, plow shoes. Non of this matters with this plow, don't even need extra lights as it does not block your head light or turn signals. Was a little concerned with lifting it manually, however it really is not a prob. very light weight and easy to lift and lower. Best of all its not nearly as hard on the vehicle as other conventional plow set up's.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Big results form a small plow!

I have been plowing our large parking area, since 2004, with an ATV, fitted with a 5 foot blade. An extremely good setup, but cold. I sold the ATV Dec 6 of this year and had to plan for snow removal by other means. A snowblower, although very effective, time saving, and back friendly was out of the question. I already had half the tool required for the plow...a Jeep Wrangler. After much research, looking at numerous plows, and reading a ton of reviews, I decided on the Snowsport HD in the 7 foot version. My Jeep is a 2012, with lots of warranty and I didn't want to tote a 300 - 500 lb plow around, wrecking my front end and my warranty. This plow does everything the makers claim, and with ease. It went together well, mounted easily, and is the perfect size for a Wrangler. I can pass between the house and shed, to clear an opening to the back deck and not shred the lawn when I do it. The blade is very well made of rust free material and the push frame and interceptor are are built to last. Very heavy construction, clean welds, and nice edges. Made in America and with some pride. It shows! My local Canadian Tire, in Prescott, although did not have one in stock were extremely helpful. My front-mount receiver arrived the very next morning. "Thanks Peggy". The recent storm of Dec 21st weekend, with all the ice, was no problem. Yes, I had to drive over a few times to break through the ice, but the Snowsport performed flawlessly. An awesome product, that I would ( and have ) recommend to anyone. Thank you Snowsport and Canadian Tire.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Better than a blower

Don't forget you need a front hitch, HD interceptor, HD push frame and 7 foot blade. All sold separtely. Easy to assemble in about 3.5 hours. Instructions were easy to follow and online videos also helpful. If you can follow Lego instructions you can do this. CT price is amazing compared to other dealers. Plows just like it shows in the videos. No more fixing snowblowers for me.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: Does this plow clip on and off easily? Once this plow is on, can it be removed fairly easily, or does it basically have to stay on the truck for the duration of the winter?

    • A: Very easy on and off. I'm very happy with the purchase. It works great. It travels well, if you do leave it on, as it's not very heavy, and won't require extra lighting on your vehicle. It's a great system and works very well. It's very effective, considering its weight and the good price.

Q: Is this too big for a two- wheel drive truck? ie: ford ranger?

    • A: I pushed a 5' blade with a 4 wheeler, with ease. I could do some of the work in 2 wheel drive, but deeper wet snow required 4 wheel drive. I'm sure you could do it, but keep in mind that what you lack in traction you'll have to make up for with speed. This will certainly be hard on the plow, and no doubt be harmful to your vehicle, in time. They recommend plowing at no more than 10 mph. I'm using a Jeep Wrangler in low range, in 2nd gear, and at engine idle. It pushes with ease.

    Q: Would this plow fit on a 1998 Ford F-150 4X4?

    • A: If you can get the front mount receiver, then it will work. The push frame and y interceptor are quite adjustable, to obtain the proper heights that are recommended. You could mount it on the rear, if you don't mind reversing to do your work. It's a 2" receiver.

Q: can you get a frame for this plow to fit an 1985 dodge truck

    • A: The front hitch likely will come from Curt Manufacturing. They start at 1995 and newer for Dodge. You would have to enquire at the parts desk but not likely to have one for a 1985 Dodge.

Q: Is there a set-up for this plow with which you could backblade driveways ?

    1 Answer
    • A: Snowsport plows are not able to backdrag. As it is set in place manually, it is designed to pivot when in reverse to prevent the operator from having to exit the cab and lift the blade when reversing. This saves effort when making repeated forward passes, but does not allow for backdragging. For a plow with this capability, please see our line of Meyer plows, which are electric or hydraulically operated.
