cheap pot metal used is too soft and brittle

Unfortunately the Attachment where the strap and pin connects to the winch motor broke so the strap and pin cannot be Connected back on. It's a brand new unit and I've only used it once It seems like the pot metal used is too soft In brittle. I don't want to buy a whole new motor Can I get just the part where the strap and pin connect and take apart the motor and put it on?

My winch had expired during the winter. I had replaced an original bushing with one I had machined in brass. It prolonged the use but eventually the gears had worn out. I went on your site and quickly found what I needed to get my plow back in operation and placed an order. The new winch kit arrived quickly and I fortunately was once more able to clear snow. I was pleased to see that the new winch had been redesigned to outlast it's predecessor. I enjoy using my DK2 Rampage II and I no longer dread cleaning my driveway after a winter blast. Thank you!
