Poor Quality.

I bought two of this remotes. The 1st one still works on my driveway but will stop working when temperature is about 5 degree or lower. The 2nd one worked a few months, now only works right under the garage opener; replacing the battery will not fix the problem.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Operating distances; How far and if adjustable.

A: The distance is not adjustable and depends on many factors: what is between the remote and the receiver, how old is the battery, how well the receiver is positioned. The receiver gets it's power from the control wires and it's performance will depend on the provided power and connected in parallel devices. If the operating distance is much shorter than expected, try using the supplementary power supply and adjust the antenna.

Q: Will this work with a Genie garage door opener? Model 2028

A: Regarding your question, we would like to have more information about your Genie opener (manufacturing date code, if your garage door opener (the motor unit) have the DIP switches or Learn button and its color and the frequency in MHz of your original remote). However, Skylink model G5M/MK-1 are compatible with most of Genie garage door opener. I'll suggest the Skylink model G5M (046-0133-6) or MK-1 (046-0138-6) from Canadian Tire.

Q: Does this work with Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener? I have the Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener but no remote. Will this work with it? I believe the door opener is model 139.53985.

A: Item 46-0129 is compatible with LiftMaster operators except for the MyQ versions. If the opener was manufactured and installed before 2013, this Skylink garage door remote set will work.
