It works great, keep in mind it’s for figure skates not hockey skates, it’s was a bit too big so I had to cut it, the picture showed a lavender colour but it came in a dark purple

Cheap skate guards that work!

You wouldn't think that such a simple commodity as a skate guard would be so hard to design and manufacture. The cheapest ones from CTC previously worked just fine and lasted 20 years, but the new cheap ones have changed so that they fall off even when not walked on. The fancy ones cost 3 times as much but don't look any more functional. These are only slightly more expensive than the cheapest, but so far seem to work just fine on ladies recreational skates (figure skates with the picks ground off). Probably also work on hockey skates. They require a bit of assembly and might need modification (shortening) for smaller (kids) skate blades, Come in a variety of basic colours (i.e. not glittery-princess-rainbow). Bottom line a product that does the job at a reasonable price...
