Pump not Siphon

Pumps OK, but does not siphon. Could be my mistake. I thought with brand name siphon King, it would siphon.

Q: I need to attach this to a 20’ hose. What type of hose should I use?

A: It’s no good. In the package it looked like it would work but when we took the plastic off, the hose that it came with was so frail. It was broken at quite a few places. We could not see this while in the package. Even when we took that small hose off to try and connect it to a better hose, it would not stay connected
