I really like this 45L Step Can! It's actually my third one that I purchased. I orginally bought it years ago in a shiny black finish and when I went to get a new one, that color was no longer available. So I decided to get the stainless look and it's so nice. I love that it's not too big, it's the perfect size for my kitchen. I highly recommend this can.

Came with a dent in the side that I banged out. The sent for the freshener smells like old trash to me. Maybe I got one from a bad batch. Will use a different scent pod in the future. Easy to clean and is otherwise sturdy.

Q: Simple Human Support ignored my question and recommended this can as a dog proof can. - It is NOT. The rim and the lid both open if the can is tipped over. You could bolt the rim closed and maybe glue thin magnets to the inside of the rim and lid bottom.

- A: I don't have a dog, so can not comment on that. The lid auto closes once the pedal is not in use. If the can is tipped over, I find nothing happens with the lid.4 years agoHelpful?
