Simple and sleek

Finally changing out my SH butterfly dual bin. I did search other brands but ended up staying with SH. The pedal is metal so you don’t have to worry about it cracking unlike many other competitors.

Good Quality and Attractive

This is my second Simple Human trash can. My folirst was the half-round that I bought 7 yrs ago. It still operated smoothly. Unfortunately, my toddler grandson used the top as a drum, so it had some dents. A kitchen refresh called for a new one, so I bought the stainless steel rectangle shape. Very happy with the foot pedal and sliw-close lid.

Q: Simple Human Support ignored my question and recommended this can as a dog proof can. - It is NOT. The rim and the lid both open if the can is tipped over. You could bolt the rim closed and maybe glue thin magnets to the inside of the rim and lid bottom.

Q: Is this a dog proof can? - Does the lid pop off or come open if the can is tipped over? - Does the lid close once the pedal is not in use?

A: I don't have a dog, so can not comment on that. The lid auto closes once the pedal is not in use. If the can is tipped over, I find nothing happens with the lid.
