    Damaged clear coat.

    Do not believe that it will not scratch, it very much will. First time I used it to remove bugs from the from the hood and grill. Pretreated with a hug and tar remover, followed by snow foam, prior to using the sponge. Worked well. Second use was to remove pine tar. Again pretreated with bug and tar remover and followed with snow foa lm before trying to remove tar. Attempted multiple treatments with the bug and tar remover, each time adding snow foam for lubrication and followed with gentle scrubbing of the spot. It burned through the clear coat and scratched it as well.

    I loved this sponge, it was able to remove the toughest stuck on bugs and grime from my car. I will definitely be buying it again!

    The bug sponge works well with bug remover and assist in getting hard to remove bugs off the mirrors and bumpers. This product does not scratch finish on the car.

    This sponge did an amazing job of removing baked on bug guts from the front chrome bumper off my truck.
