    Not a long term purchase

Bought this in fall 2017. Have used it three time for small tasks and have stored it in my basement to prevent any freezing issues over winter. Plugged it in today and motor worked fine for about 2 minutes then starting getting louder and louder. Now it had no pressure at all and is trash. When it did work, I was not thrilled with the power level, would want something stronger and from another make, if I purchase another one

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this pressure washer on sale. Too good to be true. Worked well for about 1 day, then nothing but problems since then. No pressure and motor races wildly. Will never buy another Simoniz product as a result. Don't make the same mistake I did!

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is the second Simoniz washer I have bought 1800 psi 1900 psi .Both leaked within a year .Motor blew out today on the 1900 psi .Plastic cheap low quality parts .I still use brass fittings for the hose connections ..Power washer uses plastic connection .End fitting for the hose reel started leaking and now it has rust on it.The seal around the 3 position wand started leaking one week ago .I gave Simoniz a second chance NEVER AGAIN !!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Not bad, not great.

Accessories are cheap and flimsy. Pressure is OK but 1.4 gpm is pretty low. The "platinum 1800" one is 2.0 gpm. I'd get that one instead. It's not too loud and does well enough around the house. Uses M22-15 fittings so you'll need adapters to swap hoses. Lance doesn't have a QDC fitting so you'll need a replacement gun to use something like a foam cannon. I wish the hose was longer, doesn't really get around my car. To make this really usable you'd basically be replacing all the parts, which roughly doubles the cost.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Metal connector broke and not replaceable. No help from manufacturers and days past the one year warrant. Don’t bother purchasing!

    Questions

    1 - 10 of 15 Questions

Q: How much power does this washer need to run? I'd like to run this off a generator and I wanted to know how much power it consumes, or even better what size generator is recommended.

    • A: It needs at least a full 15 amp circuit when it comes from a house panel (20 amp is preferred) and keep the extension cord short if any and preferably a heavy cable like a 12 guage if it's more than 20 feet away. Don't forget the GFCi receptacle for safety when powered from your house panel. But because there is a motor needed to turn the pump inside your pressure washer this motor needs several times the normal current to accelerate it up to full speed. This is called the motor in-rush. Read your generator manual about starting motors perhaps if it has something about it. But i would guess that you would want a 30 to 45 amp generator or 3000 to 4500 watts depending on how it's rated. GFCI is not needed with most generators because the generator is isolated from ground. You may want to get a gas powered pressure washer if your serious about cleaning and then just buy a smaller generator for your other electrical loads.

Q: Where is the onboarding detergent tank, all I can find is the foam sprayer. We purchased this one cause it had the detergent option.

    • A: This response does not address the fact this listing says it has both the on board detergent tank and the foam blaster. As per the listing I should be able to put all purpose cleaner to be used with any nose right into the unit and still have the foaming detergent in the foam blaster when I am using that.

Q: What kind of transformer does it require under 220V power supply? I would like to bring this machine to China, where I believe has 220v electricity supply. What is the requirement for the transformer to conver the power to 110v based on amp and motor horsepower? Any suggestions? Thanks

Q: Is the hose on this washer kink free?

    2 Answers
    • A: I found the hose easy to use - and it didn't kink. It did get a little twisted as I worked with it (picture a rope with a U at the bottom and then twist a couple times). It was easy to untwist just by turning the wand opposite to the direction of the twist - and it didn't impact the pressure or water flow - just made the hose a little shorter when it was twisted.
