Q: Hello. Could you tell me what materials these shop towels are made from? I see it is 40% recycled materials, but wondering what materials are included. Askign becasue wondering how best to dispose of them once they are irreversibly soilds. Thank you

1 Answer

A: • The primary ingredient is "pulp (wood) fibre" , of which 40% comes from recycled paper - usually from recycled office stationary. • The other ingredient used is a "synthetic latex resin" which is used to bond/hold the fibres together to dramatically improve strength. • Disposal recommendations: • if the used towel does NOT have oil and/or grease on it, then it can be put into your paper recycling bin. • if however, there IS oil and/or grease on the towel, then it should be thrown in the household trash.
