A: Yes, this mat can be used under a table tennis game. This mat is 7mm thick, so if you think you need more material to protect your floor, you can also use Shock Athletic interlocking foam flooring (12mm or 20mm thick tiles).

Q: I'm starting my own in-home bicycle repair shop and I need to protect the floor tiling from the spray of solvents, such as WD-40, Liquid Wrench, Degreaser fluid, etc. I need a mat that is approximately 4 ft x 5 ft 3" in size. I would like to mop the mat.

A: The interlocking tiles would not be affected by the fluids, and they can be wiped clean with a wet rag. Wet mopping can cause moisture to seep through the interlocks and get under the tiles themselves. This would make the floor underneath slippery and less stable for the tiles.

A: With light-duty wear, it should last 3-4 years. If you are doing plyometrics and dropping weights on it, it can vary substantially. However, the mat would generally average 2-3 years. Please note that this product carries a 1 year exchange warranty redeemable at any Canadian Tire store.

Q: How thick is this mat? Will it absorb most of the noise from jumping? (I live on the 3rd floor and want to try Insanity)

A: Here is the vendor's response: The 4x8 roll mat mat is 7mm thick. We don’t have any data on noise absorption, but I would personally recommend that the customer buy either type of the 12mm flooring if they want to do high-impact/plyometric activities. The interlocking flooring would be thicker and would be able to absorb the impacts better.
