Poor performance and no parts available
We got this unit a few years ago. Performance wasn't great. Then the wire in the hose broke and we cannot get our hands on a new hose because the entire product line is discontinued. There are no parts that substitute for this model. I expect parts to be available for repair. Now I have to throw this thing in the landfill.
I'll never buy a Shark product again.

Cheap, but not inexpensive!
In the first year, the floor brush snapped, and then in the next year, the handle broke. I ordered a new handle, but I had to purchase the whole hose assembly (no longer under warranty). When it arrived, the connections were different, although we had the correct part number. This week, the wire in the hose broke, so it no longer supplies power to the power head.

Worst Buy Ever

If all you read is this listen. DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM. I bought this last March. It does not suck.....and in this case it should. We farm and therefore I deal with a lot of chaff in the kitchen. This vacuum will not pick it up. Pushes it around the room alot, but little else. I should have taken it back I have to buy another. I will test it first. They call this professional, if I hired a professional this bad I would fire them.

Good when it works
I purchased this vacuum at CT replacing a Dyson. At first I was impressed with it. The fist problem I had with it is that the cable got stuck and I was unable to pull it out.
CT replaced it with another one. The new one was working OK and I liked it so much that I decided to buy one for the cottage. Few months later, both vacuums are having problem with the power head. The head works whenever it wants. Good vacuum when it works....

Pleasantly Surprised!
After reading the mixed reviews, and looking into other brands and models, I went ahead and purchased this vacuum. I wasn't ready to spend $500 + on a vacuum, and this one appeared to be the best in my price range.
I was pleasantly surprised! It works great. We do not have any carpet in the house, so I cannot give a review on how it performs on carpet, but it works wonderfully on bare floors and upholstery.
PROS: powerful suction, not very noisy, bagless cannister, retractable power cord, washable lifetime HEPA filter, washable pre-motor filters, variety of attachments, handle on the hose for comfort, length between handle and floor attachment is adjustable, unit rolls nicely.
CONS: the flexible hose could be a little longer.
Overall - I'm quite satisfied!
The bagless cannister empties through the bottom with a push of a button. You can also take the cannister apart for a more thorough cleaning. I always empty my cannister outside, I think it would put too much dust back in the air to empty it in a trash can inside. (Bagless cannister and washable filters mean you don't have any extra expenses with this unit.)
Beats any other vacuum I've ever had!!

Q: Est-ce qu'il y a une interrupteur indépendant pour la brosse motorisée?
Je veux simplement savoir si je peux utiliser l'aspirateur sans que la brosse motorisée ne fonctionne.
Q: The NR120C pet hair attachment no longer rotates. Can I lubricate, clean or adjust it so that the brush rotates like new? How?
I tried to fix by removing hair, lubrication but the brush became even stiffer and the motor will not turn it.

A: There is actually no motor in the pet hair turbo brush at all. the brush is driven by the suction power of the vacuum itself. there is a rubber belt that connects 2 gears inside the turbo brush. If that belt has fallen off of either of the gears, the brush roll bar will not rotate. Please open the turbo brush and look at the belt and reconnect if needed. If this does not solve your issue, please call us at 1-800-798-7398.

Q: How much amperage does this vacuum have? And does it have a Hepa or Anti-Allergen filter that's permanent?
1 Answer
A: Amperage is a somewhat dated measure of vacuum/suction performance that really isn’t used prominently as it was in the past. Today’s vacuums have found ways to become more efficient in their use of energy but deliver better actual cleaning performance at the same time. The more common measure of power today is wattage, but again this relates more to energy use than a clear indication of a vacuum’s cleaning performance. Having said that, this vacuum is 1400 Watts, and it does include a washable HEPA filter.

1 Answer
A: The 43-6746/NR120C weighs 11.05 lbs (just the canister portion as the weight of the powerhead is not felt when in use) and the hose length is 5’.
