Perfect patties

Works great! It makes perfectly shaped burgers that fill the bun. The markings on the column really make it easy to make the size of burger you want. And the scoop is very useful for not only keeping your hands cleaner, but getting consistent sizes. I was so grateful that it was still available at the end of September!! Thanks Canadian Tire! This was a last minute purchase before having some friends over for a BBQ and made a big difference!

I bought this item and only used it once. The top cover broke. The frozen meat was extremely difficult to get out of the container. I had high hopes for this product, because StarFrit is good, but this is barely average

I was always wondering what it would be like to have one of these to make burgers with so I bought one. After using it, I was not impressed. It works. It makes uniform patties. It’s not hard to use or clean. It’s just the over all impression and satisfaction of using it is not that satisfying.

Q: When placing the disc between how do you orient the bump vs the flat side to the hamburger ? What is the purpose of the bump or raised area on one side of the disc?

A: Hello, here is the info: as meat cooks, the proteins contract so that the whole patty shrinks and puffs up in the middle. Making a kind of indentation or dimple in the middle counteracts that effect so you end up with a nice, even patty. Hope this helps, have a nice day!
