The apps on it are out dated and won't or can't update and it system won't work with newer apps ie Disney Plus.

Disney+ will not run, needs newer version of hardware. Amazon and netflix would run, but there were some issues.

Can't get any of the apps to work

Just bought this on sale (Aug. 30, 2018) and can't get any vids to play on YouTube. Netflix app doesn't work properly either....playback is low resolution and constantly buffers. Tried to update Netflix via Google Play Store and it says "This version isn't supported on your device". Maybe I'm missing something but this Seiki box isn't doing what I need it to....going back tomorrow.

Not bad at all .

I have used this for over a year know . It took me a lot of google in , to learn about Kodi , and box's etc... But know this most of the built in software was ok at the time but now is old . When you get this box you need to get rid of all the old and bring in the new apps including kodi . I got kodi 17.6 the a build called durex , now this little box just rocks . You will need a bluetooth mouse minimum , a bluetooth key board will be much better . Trying to navigate with the remote will drive you nuts . But the box itself has all the specs you need , but you will need to self teach yourself ,to get it to do what you want . Probably the same for all the little streamers out there . the price was right . the box is great !, the knowledge is out there . good luck .

Q: We got the wifi all set up and then went to the Netflix app and tried to log on with correct email address and password numerous numerous times and we are getting nowhere! It just keeps saying email or password incorrect. HELP!

A: I tried for 2 days straight and changed my password as well and received notification of such from Netflix. We returned it for a refund and instead invested in the Roku streaming device and it is fabulous!! Offers so much more than Seiki!

A: Yes, this media player is capable of streaming live sports. This can be done through Kodi. We do not sell the device preconfigured as some of the content may be copyrighted, and we do not want to facilitate copyright infringement.
