The Scotty #3025 Downrigger Weight Retriever with Snap Fairlead Cleat tool provides an extra hand and safety for fishermen using weights. When your boom extends, this downrigger device brings the weight in to the gunwale for rigging lines and then releases without leaning out over the water. The weight line runs through the floating yellow fairlead which stays at the surface when the weight is deployed. When the ball rises from the water, pull the attached rope to haul the weight to the rail and hold it there hands-free using the built-in clamcleat.

Q: does anybody know if this will mount on a cannon downrigger?
