Poor reed switch sensor

The sensor used is unreliable. I bought mine new and only works now and then. I opened the sensor box to try to repair it, hoping it's a coil that can be repaired but unfortunately I saw that the sensor used is the type of magnetic reed switch that is totaly unreliable and unfit to work at the cadence required for a speedometer. Don't buy this gadget, it's a poorly designed toy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Don’t listen to what others say

I got this bike computer from schwinn not too long ago and believe me despite all the hate and backlash this product is receiving I disagree with the people that have rated it only one star this computer works perfectly fine even when I hit bumps it tells me the time and how fast I’m going which is what I care about the most. I do have to say the hardest part is both the programming and installation of the computer. Good job Schwinn keep up with the good products

Defective; poor response from brand

Tried to install but the fasteners didn't work. Tried to call the company's customer service but the number was out of order. Jimmied a way to attach item to bike but only get sporadic readings: it works for a few minutes then randomly reads 0.00 for no apparent reason. Don't waste your time/money on this one.

A: The computer does not have a memory function. Therefore, if batteries are replaced then memory is lost.
