A: It's like a childproof medicine lid, you have to push down at the same time as you tighten. I found it easy to cross-thread as well, so be aware of that.

Q: How do I store the gas in this Canadian Tire 25-L Scepter Gas Can: with the spout pointing inside or outside?

A: Hi Sergey Z - The proper way to store Scepter fuel cans is fully closed with the spout inside the can, stopper on the large end of the spout, the black cap and vent cap (if the fuel can has one) screwed on tight. A: It will blow up like a beach ball. Badly enough that it barely stays upright. Don't even think of leaving this in the sun on a hot summer day!!!

Q: when full up this gas can, can I place it in my car and driving long distance .is it safe ? i just want to make a spare gas can ,incase run out gas in my car?

A: Hi yao lin - It is safe to transport gas in your car on a long-distance drive as long as the gas can has not been modified and is secured in an upright position. Please ensure that you tighten the cap fully outside of the car first before storing in your car. All fuel containers sold in the United States must come equipped with a child-safety lock and adhere to environmental regulations (EPA). Q: How is the Scepter Gas Can 25-L lifetime? Can I re-use it if I had used it for three years then I didn't use it for another two years and put it outside (but no sunlight / rain / snow can touch it)?

Q: What ia the proper way to store a full can? With the nozzle in place or completely closed with the nozzle inside?

A: We are now manufacturing this product with a vent. Some stores may have product produced prior to the change but eventually all stores will have the latest generation in stock.
