Cheap mirrors. Get something better.

The chrome brackets to attach to the handlebars are terrible. No rubber gaskets to prevent scrapes to the handlebar or to use as a shim if needed. You have to bend and twist the brackets to get them around the bar. Very cheap design. The mirrors themselves are just ok but I decided to return these and get something better elsewhere.

Q: How many mirrors are in a package Does the package come with one or two mirrors?

  • A: don't read only answers from 8 or 13 years ago. There are 2 mirrors per package as I just bought a pack yesterday in 2022. They are a great deal for 2. The mirror is large enough to see behind you very well.

Q: Installation is not intuitive and the answers here are certainly not helpful. There is no physical way the clip can wrap around a 31.8mm diameter bar. If you really want to help explain how these are installed, please provide photos or a video.

  • A: Look at my review in 1 or 2 days with 2 photos of 2 different bikes I installed the mirrors to. They do fit and are tight for a good reason so as to not move while you bike hitting bumps and potholes.

Q: This mirror appears to be mounted for a right-hand view, can it be mounted for a left-hand view (i.e. on the left side of the handlebars)?

  • A: It can be mounted on either side. You probably only need a mirror on the left side of the handlebar.

Q: I bought these mirrors in 2023 and I recently lost the nut for one of the mirrors. Can someone provide me with the size of the nut and whether is is course or fine thread? Also, the mirror began slipping on the handlebar. Would rubber help?

  • A: Black tape helps with the slipping and a wing nut is a good option as you can adjust the mirror by hand if needed.

Q: How are these mirrors supposed to be installed? The metal brackets are far too small to fit around the handlebars.

Q: which size o-rings One of the reviews suggests using o-rings to inscrease the rigidity of the mounting. Which size o-ring to use? Canadian tire has a zillion sizes?
