How to swap pieces/battery?

Decent quality but can't figure out how to change battery or swap the back off? The instructions do not help. There are two different back pieces: one for use with elastic band and one with a clip (for the strap). Using all my strength to twist or pop off the back and won't work. As of right now the strap is useless as I can't affix the clip back piece.

j'en ai acheté 2 pour le vélo de mon petit fils et je suis très satisfait. La bande élastique qui n'apparait pas sur la photo était très utile pour la fixer en arrière sur son casque de vélo. Il a 4 ans et est capable de choisir un des 3 cycles possibles en simplement pesant sur la lumière. La lumière est très vive on la voie bien à la clarté du jour.
