Good basic pump for most needs.

Works well. Good price on sale. Only issue would be if you need very high PSI. It registers to 90 PSI, but it is very hard to pump past 60 PSI, which is fine for most recreational bikes.

Q: Why do you recommend not using this for pumping up an suv tire? It only needs 35 psi so what would be the issue ?

Q: Q: Like Margo, I cannot lock the nozzle in hold position to the tire valve…am afraid of breaking it if I push harder. How do I secure the pump onto the valve. There is a lever that doesn't move easily... do I push it in or pull it out?

  • A: The valve on the bike is loosened first  Then the nozzle is put on the valve The you can lock it int place with the lock lever

Q: How do I attach the mattress valves or the ball inflation needle to the pump? The valves have threads on them, but I don't see any corresponding threads on the pump head.

  • A: You put the needle in the valve slot (where the the bike tube valve would normally go when pumping up a tire) and pull the lever up and it should secure the needle.

Q: Supercycle Bike Floor Pump with Gauge 073-0554-8. When I connect the pump head to the Schrader valve on my bicycle and pump, the air seems to simply go out the Presta valve hole in the pump head. Am I doing something wrong?
