Q: Are the shelves adjustable? I only have a dvd player for the first shelf and it is quite low in height so it would be good if the other shelf could be moved upward so I could store my dvds vertically on the second shelf.

A: The adjustable shelf dimensions are 13 3/4" by 33 3/16". The dimensions of the fixed shelf are 14 1/2" by 33 3/16". The top of the stand can hold up to 50 lbs. The upper shelf can hold up to 25 lbs. The lower shelf can hold up to 30 lbs. Each drawer can hold up to 15 lbs. each.
