So far so good...applies evenly with no issues...nice semi-gloss finish. We will see how it holds up. I re-finished my steps on my Ram. made them look brand new again !!

Used for the bottom of my car to protect the brake lines, muffler, gas tank, etc. Worked wonderfully! Very oddly made a smell of seafood when the car got warm but thankfully that only lasted a week. Now we are all ready for a Canadian winter!

Q: Will 047-7912-8 Stone Shield adhere to MDF wood? I would be applying it to all surfaces of the wood. Would a primer be advisable? If 'yes' what type of primer would you recommend?

1 Answer

A: MDF board should always be primed/sealed before painting. There are special primers/sealers designed for this purpose, usually acrylic. Once properly sealed, almost any topcoat may be applied, but the best for this application is an oil-based paint.

A: For best performance it is recommended that all bare metal areas should be primed with a 2K urethane or epoxy primer, otherwise no primer is necessary.
