Great.....but...

I purchased this with the thought that 'expandable' meant that I could add a few components. I need a couple more shelves , a connector clip and one more short upright to finish my closet. I can't find any resources to get parts.

Versatile Configurations

Love the shelving system and found it relatively easy to install. Definitely need to take your time and make certain everything is level and properly spaced. I was not thrilled about the supplied anchors so I purchased different ones rated for much higher weight.
Only downside, the HomeFree 12" brackets are not available in the stores. I would like to purchase additional ones and cannot find them for a reasonably price anywhere online.

Easy Install but I need and extra B shelf

The kit is fine and like all my other rubbermaid closet organizers its easy to install but I need one more B shelf. The kit comes in A shelves and B shelves and I need one more but Lowes doesn't carry spares. It seems the kits could have used standard 12" shelves but they are different. Where can I get parts for this system?

I have re-done my pantry and 3 closets. The closet kits are wonderful, HOWEVER, imagine my shock when I needed to extend the uprights and found the uprights sold separately are 1 inch deep, while the uprights in the kit are 3/4 inch deep. Sooo, you can't use the connectors. Other than this one problem, I have found the HomeFree series to be a great answer to a perplexing problem. I save over $1,000 by doing this myself!

Q: Could this closet organizer be installed in a closet with a sloped ceiling? One end of the closet is about 8ft tall and it slopes to 5ft tall. The total width is 9ft.

A: You could use one of the 4ft hangrail higher at the 8ft. side and the second at under 5ft. You then make sure that the vertical uprights on both heights have the twin holes on the same level in case you want to extend an 8 ft. shelf side to side.

A: Remember that the uprights supports need to be secured to STUDS to be able to achieve maximum weight capacity.

Q: If we purchased 2 Rubbermaid kits - and 1 was for the 4'-8' kit and 1 was for the 3'-6' are the parts interchangeable with the Rubbermaid systems?

Q: Can the kit be expanded to fit a 10 foot closet? I want to fit both a 10' 1 1/2" wall and a 8' wall in a walk-in closet. What should I purchase to make this work?

A: You can definitely accommodate this by buying multiple kits, at least 3. The kits are meant to fit a single closet of a given size but with multple kits you can extend it to the size you need. Individual parts to the white configurations are not available separetely but 3 kits should do a walk-in.

A: Rubbermaid Configurations Closet system wire shelves are NOT compatible with the other regular shelves. Configuration shelves come as A & B (Male/Female) and can overlap. This is why no cutting is required. All other wire shelves have different lips in the front making it impossible to combine with Configurations.
