Lid doesn't fit like it used to

I have purchased these types of totes in the past and was always very happy with them. They were durable and the lid fit snugly on the tote. However, this recent purchase is not the same as the older version. The lid does not fit well. It comes off easily with barely a touch. I tried several of the lids when at the store and they were all the same. I purchased it anyway because it's the exact size I need but it's very disappointing..
