Q: The price is DOUBLE that of most other retailers. Are these made out of some precious metal?

A: No. I wouldn't advise looking for dumbells made of precious metals at any retail store and I imagine they cost way more than what these cost. You'll probably have to get them custom made. I did a quick Google for you and other than a gimmick youtube video of someone using 330 lbs golden dumbells, I couldn't find anything.

Q: Do the CAP Coated Hex Dumbbell of 20 lb come with padded grip? When I go choose the weight to buy some picture show that it's just metal, in others it shows the padded black grip.

A: The older style of the rubber hex dumbbells was with the chrome bar. However, they have recently transitioned into a new style rubber hex dumbbells that are chrome with the black padded grip.

Q: Does anyone know why dumbbells are available in 1 piece only?. I mean they are worked in a set, specially heavier ones. It's not logical to be selling 1 at a time per person..
