OEM-looking wheels for little more than steelies.

1 winter and 2,000 kms later, these wheels are holding-up fine. It was a bit of a maze to navigate purchasing new winter wheels for a new model year car, but everything worked out in the end. Originally wanted a different style but ended up with these, the only style available at the time, and now I'm happy for it because they happen to look like OEM wheels. Didn’t even have to get new lug nuts. Thought the non-OEM centre caps would bug me, but even they look all right. 6 months on summers, 6 months on winters. Might as well have good looking wheels for the winters that cost maybe 25-50% more than steelies and wheel covers. Went down a size to 225/60R17 for the winters instead of the 225/55R18 for the stock summers, to get more rubber. Driving in the 2 or 3 days of heavy snow this past winter, slightly thinner tires might have felt less floaty on the snow, but who's to say. Summer wheels have a shiny machined metal look, so these all black wheels for the winters offer a nice change for half the year. Overall, very satisfied with these wheels, and how everything worked out.
