      Good so far

Seem to be good quality. Didn't come compressed by plastic banding like in videos I had watched. Mine were compressed and wrapped around by plastic wire which you wouldn't be able to remove once the rubber boot was installed, so had to cut them off and let shocks expand, which makes it a little harder to install but not too bad for me since the whole box of the truck was off. Hope they hold up as I put some miles and pounds on them.

      Excellent Result

This may not be the answer for every truck but it was an excellent result for my 2010 Ranger. I have had the truck over 10 years now and replaced shocks more than once and feel this is the best ride I have experienced yet. Note that these shocks do not have a nitrogen charge like most conventional twin tubes, just oil, so they do not rebound when they are compressed. My truck has a heavy cap loaded with tools so I added air helper springs to balance the sag of the load and now combined with these shocks is a perfect ride. Even without air springs I think anyone hauling loads in their truck or driving off road would greatly benefit from this product.

      Rancho customer dissatisfied with RS5000 & RS9000

I have had 2 sets of these RS5000 Rancho shocks replaced under the warranty with CT. Unfortunately the last set that had been replaced are now have leaky seals again. The CT service Mgr will not replace these leaky shocks under warranty even though they were replaced in his shop by his techs. After reaching out to the Rancho rep for the area as the CT Mgr will not assist me in getting these R&R, the rep is sending me back to the store for a resolution. Not going to happen with this Mgr in service. I would even accept a similar in kind shocks to eleviate the on going Rancho problem. They are not abused on the truck but it appears they are very poorly buolt with very POOR quality control before getting into the hands of the customer. CT should review the product and discuss the departments Mgr view with assisting long time customers of this store. I have a very simular issues with the RS 9000 Ranchos on another truck. Switching product lines to Bilsten. Better product with HIGHER reviews online and in person. Avoid this Rancho product and this particular store location. Only 1 store south of Kamloops and North of Kelowna. You determine which store this is and the Mgr of service dept.

Installed them on an old Cherokee and they work great! Super smooth ride. Somehow CT also has some of the best prices I could find around for them so even better!

      Questions

      1 - 10 of 12 Questions

Q: I ordered a pair of Rancho RS5029 shocks for the front of my 2002 Dakota. While installing, I noticed slight difference between them, and that one is stamped "RS5019." Is this for a different application?

      • A: Hi, you are correct, the shocks should both be the same regardless of left & right side. Both should read RS5029, SKU 041-4216.

Q: Would they be good for my 1987 Econoline 250 3/4 ton

      • A: I can't speak to that vehicle specifically but last year I installed these on the back of my 2010 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 with a heavy Leer cap full of tools on the back and was very pleased with the result. These are the 4th set of different rear shocks I have had on it in the 11 years I have driven it and by far the best ride quality. I think due to the heavier weight their stiffness is just perfect so with your van being a 3/4 ton I believe would be a good choice.

      • A: Hi, thank you for your question. I've provided the options below for your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with 4.7L & 4X4. For the Rear I would recommend using one of the following; 041-4221 RS55274 (Rancho 5000 Series) 041-7097 RS999274 (Rancho 9000 Series) For the Front, given that your vehicle uses a factory 2" lift we do not carry anything in our assortment I would recommend. However I have provided the Monroe Part #'s that you would need to source, that will fit your vehicle correctly. Monroe Rancho 5000 series - RS5373 or RS55373 specifically for trucks with factory lift of 1"-2"

Based on our assortment coverage we do not currently offer a Rancho series for your truck with a 2" front lift. Can you confirm the engine size in the vehicle and if it is a 4wd or 2wd truck?
