    Electrical Upgrade Work Needed ( prior to use).

    We needed a converter upgrade and alternator charging related work done first. If the needed work was mentioned in the add...I missed it. If I read it I may have installed another AGM Battery. The required work is being done now. .

    Yes. To replace lead acid battery with LiFePO4 battery, some extra work may needed as the voltage of the battery is slightly different.

    Bought this battery for my 12 V trolling motor, so far so good, used it once, put 7 hours on it with no problem, would like to know how many hours it is good for.

    Q: I have an older RV where the battery charge does not have a Lithium option. Can I still use this battery with my older RV without changing the battery charger?

    • A: It depends on your charger’s specifications. The Rocksolar lithium battery should be charged at 14.4V (max 14.6V). If your charger works within this parameter it will be fine. However many battery chargers designed for lead acid batteries will have modes or steps (for certain types of lead acid batteries, or desulphation, or repair) that charge as high as 15 or 16V. If your charger has this, it must not be used on a Rocksolar lithium battery. Consider perhaps MotoMaster Eliminator Precision Series XPC20 Battery Charger as it has a mode specifically for lithium batteries.
